I disagree - I think it looks like a 2014 corvette. It's VERY similar to the C6, and i'm sure you consider that a corvette?
Well, I bought in 2009 a new 2009 Corvette, every option, and to me it was not a Vette, so I sold it. Told my wife I was selling it because it was too nice.
Replaced it with a 69 L-68 convertible. But that's just me, if you have a C6 I hope you do enjoy it.

I grew up restoring older corvettes, and needless to say they have a special place in my heart. Taking that into consideration, when I was finally able to purchase a corvette for myself, i got a base manual 2008. To me, it's a corvette through and through compared to the current market of cars offered. RWD, 2 door, V8 POWER, LONG hood, finished with a removable top. Do i think the c6 is a Vette... absolutely
With all that being said, the C7 looks to be a upgrade to the c6 as it has all the caracteristics i listed above (RWD, 2 door, V8 POWER, LONG hood, finished with a removable top).

Well, I'm glad you like it and enjoy it. For me I'm still stuck on what I grew up with, but that's just me. My 2009 looked cool from the outside, was a rocket, but once inside it could have been a new Malibu as to the feel. Just too nice and comfy. If I bought new again it would probably be a Camaro, LeMans Blue with white stripes, looking like a 69.

And yes, my wife thinks I am not normal.
I bet I will feel the same way when i'm older, and we are on the C12 I will be defending that the C6/7 was the closest thing to a Corvette
I just noticed that the line on the front bumper that runs under the headlights seems to be a continuation of the line that runs from the rear fender through the side of the car. I think that is a very nice touch...I hope that stays on the production vehicle.
Good eye. I bet it does. GM has been doing that a lot with their designs lately. I particularly noticed it on the Camaro. My buddy has one, a few months ago i was looking at it. Not just a glance but actually following the lines and taking in the concept of the design. There are a ton of subtleties on that car that are very easy to miss i you don't take a good, hard look. I'm sure the c7 will be no different
First I would like to mention that David Kiss is a very talented illustrator ! He really performed magic on the " video car " and don't forget he said he may not be 16 years old yet!
Secondly, the expression " God is in the details " says it all. For example, the hood may be 1 inch lower on the actual car. The car may be 9/10's the size of a C6. The side vent is probably body colored. The headlight glass may be much thinner. Every inch of that car may be at a slightly different angle.
There is undoubtedly so many small details of inaccuracy here that this illustration is still not the car.
I have looked back at my old car magazines and found Motor Trend covers showing " the next Corvette " and I see where they got the over
all look correct but their illustration is ungainly compared to the real car.
Glad I have my c6. The c7 will definitely be a flop for the long run like the c6. If I wanted a jag then I'd buy a jag. The c7 designers must be smokin crack to something like that to such a beautifull car.
