I noticed the mirrors really seemed to stick out there when I was looking at the cars. They looked a bit smaller, but on longer stalks. That was one of the first things that jumped out at me. I was sort of hoping they were just temporary mirrors they were using for testing and not the productions ones. They did look a little odd to me.
I also got a look at the HUD and caught it in one of my photos, and it appears to be the same size and in the same position in the dash as before.
lol still asking questions about the tail lights. jesus, he has seen the exact same thing we've all seen. obviously there is so much masking on the car, that one could never be able to tell that those round LED's are production... or the fact that they're even round
Csixdude,
Did you take that photo of the C7 beside the Camaro ZL1? Is the C7 really that small or is the Camaro just that BIG?
Not all the photos out there you see on the internet are mine. I have several photos of the C7 next to two Camaros on the side of the road, but some of those other photos were taken by someone else. Furthermore, I have more that haven't been published anywhere (yet).
The photo you are referring to I believe was taken from a balcony overlooking the parking lot they were using, and I don't think it gives a proper perspective of the two cars. Road and Track have one of my photos that I think give a better perspective, though it has been cropped. Sometime in the future I may post the original that shows both Camaros and the C7 together.
I got several chances to see the tail lights up close and personal. My first reaction was that they are definitely round. But now after coming home and looking through the photos and reading all the posts and info, I'm starting to second guess myself.
My first gut reaction after seeing, and following the car for several miles, was the tail lights were round.

1) The tail lights on the car are the temporary parts bin junkers that you can get at the tractor supply store that people have kept referencing.
2) The steering wheel in the C7 IS NOT a parts bin wheel found on the Tahoe, ZL1, Equinox, Malibu or whatever else keeps getting tossed around. Actually look at it- it's completely different than this:
ZL1:
Malibu:
Sonic:
......aaannnnd again, C7:

I am one of the legally blind haha. I saw the flat bottom on the wheel and made an assumption. I was wrong.
John,
Actually I was not referring to one of your posts...I did not see where you stated that the ZL1 had the corvette steering wheel. Although, shame on you
I was commenting on folks posting buick and cadillac wheels and claining they were the same as the one in the C7. Somewhat similar...yes, but obviously a different wheel...not parts bin this time around.

EXACTLY!
I keep saying this too. The wheel is new. I've never seen this one on any GM. You can tell by the controls that it has the same amount of controls as the CUE wheels, but is a totally different wheel.

I am optimistically hoping that the majority of those individuals are just simply utilizing some form of new e-braille technology the gauge car's pre-pro attributes.
I really hope that's the case, as some of the things being debated are simply leaving my mouth agape.

I went out and walked around a new Camaro to get a "feel" for its physical size. Although it appears to be a bulky car it is actually pretty small. I am trying to find a lot where a C6 is parked next to a Camaro to see how they compare. If the perspective in the pictures is correct, the new C7 is very low and very small.
The tail lights on the Grand Am car were allegdely supplied by GM and are the ones which will appear on the C7. They are round with the top clipped off. The reference comment by a Grand Am fabricator has either disappeared or I just can't find it any more.

The fabricator is missing too. GM takes leaks seriously. I noticed there has been some fresh sod installed in the end zone of Giants stadium.
