Our 2008 Jaguar XK had "kinder seats" aka a 2+2 configuration on a car with almost the same dimension as a C6

And the Jag looked so good

While no real adult would want to sit back there, I did in a pinch carry three folks several times as long as the rear passenger sat side saddle. And it was great for taking our Husky for cruises.

The 2+2 option will be available with the transmission and rear wheel delete package

How else did you think they were going to meet new new CAFE regulations?

From all the pictures, and though its hard to tell dimensions, the c7 appears longer overall. The lengthened wheel base and longer overall length could have been decided so as to essentially push the cab more rear-ward. Instead of the cab gaining a half inch front and back for more space, essentially the cab itself gains nothing but from the firewall forward gaining 1". With the rear transaxle, front weight remains minimal, and now there's more just "space" up front. A solid 49/51 weight distribution wouldn't hurt

The pictures tell nothing to me as far as interior space, it could just be they've added more room to push the seats back, and the test drivers need to move the seat forward some to reach. Also, maybe a new place to store the targa top(directly behind the seats) leaving the hatch area open even with the top off? Weren't 4th gen F bodies like that, a T top behind each rear seat?
