I resurrected this thread because I am feeling a little guilty about my judgement of keeks. When keeks was throwing out his little tidbits here and there it was an incredible time for all on this forum, especially myself. I made mention that I thought keeks may have been sanctioned by GM and I should have kept my opinion to myself because I really have no clue.
It really doesn't matter where keeks came from or his "MO" because , speaking for myself, it was more fun than I have had in a long time. It is also so typical of humans to be thrilled with a person when they are "producing" only then to kick them to the curb the minute it stops.. Anyway, I am glad I got that out and again, I do miss not having Mr. Excitement around the forum.

Thanks! John.
1) I am not and never will be connected to General Motors or Chevrolet.
2) I haven't gone anywhere. Just doing what retired NHL goalies do.... Golf everyday and play with my car collection, grabbing vintage gas pumps etc.
3) As I had mentioned previously, I have always had the corvette sickness you all have. I will die with corvettes in my garage period.
4) I love the C7 vette and know once you actually see it and drive it you will be stunned.
5) I want GM to sell a ton of these so we will all have corvettes still being made...
6) I didn't join up to this forum to be popular. I just love vettes.
I will be the first guy to post on here with a photo of my new C7 vette.........as long as I am not on some "don't sell to list"!
Just like most of here I would rather buy American and I am thrilled with GM at this moment. This Cadillac ATS makes for a fascinating story with the Cadillac engineers obsession with weight. I have read that they are shaving grams everywhere humanly possible and attaining goals that would have been impossible just a few years ago. If they had sold this car in 2011 it would have weighed 3,800- 3,900 lbs and they brought the ATS to market at 3,350 lbs.
Keeks mentioned earlier that the C7 would be the lightest VETTE in recent times and that is very believable when you factor in the Cadillac program. I remember being a little kid and seeing a factory flared C3 Corvette vert with a modified 427 hood in CarandDriver magazine . The motor was an all aluminum big block. I could not believe how "unattainable" this car was. I think the good old days are back at GM at least for this moment in time.
Keeks... I think I've figured you out through some online digging! Your NHL reference in particular prompted me to google your screen name. You're Steve McKichan and you're related to Corvette Hall of Famer Clare MAcKichan! No wonder you have such credible information!!!!!! You're awesome!
