how does the doors open ?

I wonder if they will open like the stingray prototype , that would be so cool to have an American sport car under $100k ,who rival with European cars like Ferrari ,Lamborghini, Mercedes ......

Yeah , i hope GM does impress us they came back with some very nice product over all.

Hopefully that will be the icing on the cake !!!!

4 month and we should see it at the detroit show

GM licensed the dihedral synchro-helix doors from Koenigsegg. Don't park next to a tall curb.

I heard a rumor that they were going away from doors entirely on the C7. Likely an F-16 style canopy design.

They will be replaced with "entry portals", the specifics of which are supremely hush-hush.

They are special light weight one use only doors. Both the power train and new interior are so great that once you get in you will never want to get out.

To save the weight of the hinges there will be no working doors..Entry and exit will be dukes of hazzard style..

It won't actually have doors. To get in or out you push a button on the FOB and you'll be transported in/out. Special light effects/sounds are still in development.
