Beat me to it, I was just about to post this as well LOL.
Looks like a 'rain guard' of some sort on the outer edges of that roof, that could be quite helpful entering/exiting the car during heavy downpours.

GM'er , I thought a "C" pillar was the third pillar towards the back. What are you referring to please ?

Along the rear window there appears to be a pillar. Would be the C pillar. A pillar is front. B pillar looks like a piece of tape right behind the drivers door. C pillar along the back window.

You are correct. after the B pillar is the roofline, which there hasn't been one since the middle 70's. A welcome touch.

If you look at our current cars, the A pillar would be the black part between the windshield and side window. Current B pillar is called the halo between the side window and the rear hatch glass. Our current car does not have a C pillar framing a quarter window. This picture makes it look like the C7 does.

This pic is far from nothing.
Unequivocably confirms that there will be a rear quarter window and, a result, a much flatter hatch window.
PS it is $$$
for nuttin'

What is the (apparent) light housing shown in the clay model pic?
