I think we all are forgetting what made the C6Z and ZR1 what they where, and that is a total package. We only have an estimated hp/tq on the motor and we are already passing judgement. Just think back to recently when the ZR1 flooded the magazines as the "Blue Devil" and the estimated numbers we got that were alot lower than final production. I think once we have the final product of engine, tires, chassis or even the materials of the fenders we ALL are going to be pleased with the results. If not, its your money and Vipers and Porsches will be available. For me, I'm a Corvette guy and whatever GM puts out I'm sure just like the previous 6 generations I will love it for being a CORVETTE!
It seems most are not pleased with ONLY 450 hp. When temperatures dip you can't get more than around 3/4 throttle on the ground with the LS2/LS3. So if you can't use it, you have only talk.
Has there EVER been sports car made that has too much power? and the driver sold it, because it had too much power.
I think it was David Donahue, who said " When it can spin the tires in 4th gear at the end of the front strech, it has too much power".
You mean too much power for its chassis, transmission, suspension, brakes, tires, potential weather conditions, particularized race track requirements, sanctioning body rules and regulations OR just, sort of, in general?
