^Not necessarily. I don't recall that happening with the C5. A low mile '04 still brings as much as a mid-high mile '05. Vettes are very mileage and condition dependent. I regularly see mint C5 and C5 Z06 cars go for mid 20's all the way up near 30 grand- which is LS3 territory, let alone LS2 05-07s.

You see them for sale at that price. That doesn't mean they actually sell for that price.

was just thinking that

c5's now, price wise remind me exactly of what the c4 did in 2005. for the longest time most any decent c4 sold over 10k. 2000, 01, 02, 03 even in to 04. then...in not that long of period of time when the c6 released making it 2 generations old and gm discontinued parts people just quit buying and prices dropped like a rock.

well in 2014 the c5 gets the ax from oem parts and it will be 2 generations old this coming year

we also have these ask prices that don't even make sense. on the one hand i know of a local 2002 z06 that was in great shape, 62k miles and well cared for. it did sell recently for 16.5k, however it's not uncommon to see ask prices at 20-22k for a similar car and of course it will sit for months/years and clutter the listings along with giving other sellers the impression that it's what the car is actually worth

personally i have 20k set aside for a c6. doubt that will get me an ls3 car but i would hope that a 50-60k mile 06 car might be doable this summer

The guy I bought my low miles C5Z from wanted $28K. I bought it for $25K. Still could have had a base C6 for that. I had $33K to work with. My old boss at the time told me I could by his 2007 C6Z for $32K. If I hadn't known how he treated that car, I might have done it. LOL

Hmm. Probably an Acura NSX, if not then a C6 GS, although I doubt the
C7 will disappoint me.

Finalist 2020 C4 of the Year - Unmodified

I will have to wait until the kids are oput of college before I can buy another Vette. However, an aquaintance at the coffee shop knew I was a Corvette fan and I knew information on Vettes asked for information on what Vette to buy and if I knew anything about the latest Vette. I showed him the latest renderings of the C7. He did not like the direction it was going and went out and bought a 2013 Cyber Gray Metallic Grand Sport with the 2LT package. So his alternate plan was to get the lastest C6.

Here is his car next to my "stepchild" 86 Vette. Sure does make my 86 look vanilla.

First choice is a BMW 650 coupe, but not sure if I want to go $86K.
Not alot of choices for a rear wheel drive, V8 sport coupe/GT. The Benz E550 coupe is another possibility. The Vette is attractive for it's performance/price.

Maybe your sarcastic post would actually be funny if you would have looked it up?

The Boss was only intended to be a 2 year run, just like the original.
