My uneducated guess is that they are going to keep them affordable. They will release the high-end C7 in a few years to appease those who wanna spend the money for them.
Also, Corvette wants to get that buyers back that they lost to the audi and bmw sport sedans. Also heard they wanna cater to a younger crowd.
I honestly think it starts at $51,000.00 GM would lose customers if the c6 went from $49k to a c7 that started at $66k like some people who post here believe.
I suspect that early on when there are few C7's on the dealer's floors, that some dealers will have a "market" adjustment added. I suspect that most "Corvette" dealers will be selling at MSRP for awhile with a few high volume "Corvette" dealers selling for a little under MSRP. Within a year, the selling prices will be quite a bit under MSRP.
I doubt if the C7's MSRP is much higher then the outgoing C6's MSRP. I suspect it will be very close to the C6's MSRP.
You are asking what the individual dealers will ask above MSRP? The trend for low-volume cars with high demand is for dealers with small allocations to ask above MSRP for their first few cars. But dealers with larger allocations tend not to mark them up. I've bought several 911s over the years and the large dealers rarely ask more than MSRP in the first year. My guess is that the forum dealers will not in 2014 either.
rule #1----get over the urge to have the newest and the greatest right away.
rule #2----NEVER pay over MSRP.
rule #3---- work with your corvette forum supporting dealers and you won't get ripped off.
rule #4----if you choose to work with your local dealer, build relationships with them. buy other vehicles from them, work with the service departments, promptly reply to the surveys and give honest feedback.
when all else fails, return to rule #1.

There are dealers who are right now selling Corvettes at MSRP, well at least advertising them.
I don't know about actually selling them, wait a year or two and there will be great deals to be had on C7s.....
Probably way too much. The only thing that will hamper this is when they are expected to arrive. I believe sometime next fall. This will force many buyers to wait until spring. The dealer greed may subside a bit by then.

This is how I see it- I gave my deposit to a very high volume and reputable Corvette dealer. I feel I don't have to ask it there will be additional mark up above sticker because if there is I will leave dealer ( without buying ) and go straight to the forum and tell everyone who will listen what idiots they are. MSRP is fair for both parties.
I realize that there are a lot of idiot customers too but two wrongs can never make a right.
