We are getting ready to completely refresh our 2014 C7 Corvette page. What sort of information, videos, photos or usability would you want to see on a page dedicated to the new Corvette?
Honestly, I can't imagine what you could put up there at this point from a practical perspective. Maybe a section on "Rumors" and "Confirmed" spec information so that people can easily check whether the things they have heard are hearsay or GM announcements?
Probably worth including the reveal date/place and letting people know you will post pics as soon as they are available.
It wouldn't make any business sense for you to do the following, but prospective early buyers would be interested in seeing an updated chart of your current allocation numbers vs. number of deposits taken.
If you have developed an early deposit policy, you should put that on the page. If you have announced a "No ADM" policy over MSRP, you should put that on the page.

Really want to hear from the members of this Forum. Please take a look at what we have now and what you think we should do differently.
Thanks!
I'll wait till you have all the facts. Otherwise people will consider you as bogus. Remember, most of the guys here, are fairly up to date, with what's going on with C7. Anything you put there, most people know already, and anything you put there, that no one knows, it won't be taken lightly. So any misinformation, can ruin your credibility. Nothing is as powerful as facts. Hope that helps.
There is nothing you can put up that we don't already know or that we haven't seen. You could do like GM and put up a "will be revealed in a couple of months"type page with the teaser shots that are out.Again though,we've already seen everything out there....and on 11/29,we'll know a little more.
I disagree with the previous posters. We here on Corvette Forum are a tiny percentage of the potential buying population. We do not represent the average Joe looking at car dealership sites. There are many people who do not know any of the stuff we have been salivating over for months. Those are the ones Hendrick needs to cater to. He knows he doesn't need to put up a web page of content for us... We have an entire site dedicated to that.
Make your page like the old sales brochures. Include all the options and color photos of the options.. Include car colors as close to actual and interior shots in avaiable colors.
Then you can link all the road test that will done in major magazines.
A big thing for forum users is a dealer who will sell at MSRP...tell them if you will do that. No one wants to eat your profit but no one wants to be abused by pricing policy.

The Corvette website at one13thirteen.com might give you a better idea of the reveal date.
What would I want to see in a website?
360 views of the interior and exterior.
Tech specs and the motor and transmission info.
What's it sound like?
Show me how the center stack works.
Option lists. RPO codes.
It might be interesting to do a tracker for special order clients so they can easily follow the progress of their build.
One of the biggest issues for Corvette buyers is that so few dealerships allow test drives. In lieu of that give your customers all the data, pictures and info you can. Go beyond what GM does.

Good post and I agree. As for the highlighted above request to be able to follow your build there is this at the very bottom of the one13thirteen site under OWNERSHIP/TRACK YOUR ORDER:

I haven't bought GM for for several years so don't know if this is something new or been around for a while.
i will mention this for the heck of it. i bought a Mini in 08. There were a gazillion options to have fun with and I kid you not, I received the car exactly 30 DAYS from my custom order and it traveled from England to Baltimore!

...and we tracked it all the way.
You mean like this from someone tracking the ship their BMW is traveling the high sea on?
Maybe they need the same for our C7's on carriers cruzing the Interstates to us. Hey put a live camera on our C7 Build Order from parts bin, to assembly down the line, to seeing it on the carrier in transit, to drop off at the Dealer.
