No official word, but I'm pretty confident the answer is going to be "no"

I would agree with NO. I can get GM Supplier and for example the Camaro ZL1 is not included. Can't see any way a newly introduced Corvette would be eligible either.

Hope you guys are wrong but thanks for opinion. My best guess: ZR-1s, ZL-1s, and other exotics: no discounts. Production line cars: discounts up front to build volume. Dealers can charge whatever they want for a car and generally pack an early-adapter surtax on anyone buying a new Vette in its first months. But discount policy comes from the head shed and I guess it's TBD who's got the better answer here.

Don't believe they were available on the 05 C6, MSRP was about as good as it got till 2006, then the majority of dealers who had them marked up over MSRP were coming off MSRP a little and I think GM allowed supplier pricing.

Ordered a 2006 C6 on GM Supplier in early 2006 - arrived June 2006. It was up to the dealers to decide if they would accept it and I had to call several before I was able to get one to accept the order.

Agreed that the dealer has the right to accept (or not accept) a Supplier certificate, but if you cultivate a good relationship with the dealer, and you're a repeat customer, in general they will (my experience). It's all about volume, and the dealer gets more "points" from GM from "tail-lighting" more cars. On a newly releashed, high demand vehicle, (IMHO) it won't happen. Law of supply and demand and profit margin.

i talked to my dealer again today(the salesman i know and the one that sold me my '12 coupe)plus i sent him two sales in the past year and my brother bought a car there also and he guaranteed me that i would have have a c7 no problem and a small discount. i said a small discount could be $50 and he assured me he does not do business that way and the discount would be somewhere between $300-500 dollars under MSRP. something is better than nothing and i do believe him as he is a stand up guy. he said the owner usually takes the first car of a new run. its not a big dealer but they usually have 5-6-7 vettes there and he said he has a decent allocation and i will be able to order the car right off the bat. i guess we'll find out when the c7 arrives for ordering, whenever that will be. he's probably giving me the money back i should have got for sending him some sales.

I am wondering about GMCard money too. Lets hope they give us newer style card members at least the 1K redemption limit.
I'll probably wait till model year end on this car anyway to save a few Gs.

For what it's worth, I used a GMS discount on a 2005 coupe that I picked up in March 2005...

That's wrong actually my triple black vert was ordered with a gm supply discount number , I was lucky though because you need two friends , one has to work for gm and yr other friend has to be a Chevy salesman . At the end it's up to the dealership .

It may be available but good luck finding a dealer willing to give you the car if he has orders lined up. GM I am sure will take it week to week on whether they are going to offer it and when they feel it is profitable for them to go to supplier they will do it. I am willing to bet in the very beginning it will be a no. Maybe by october when the summer is over.

GM may say its eligible for the Employee and Supplier Discounts but you may have a hard time finding a dealer who will accept them. It was that way for a long time on the C5 and C6. Eligible at a certain point in time but no dealers accepting.

If we could ask everyone with nothing better to do with their money than to waste it on buying a C7 at MSRP, just so they can say there were one of the first to have one and instead NOT buy a C7 Corvette until dealers get so frustrated they break down and start selling C7s for invoice price, that'd be great. Thank YOU in advance!!!!

That was 5 years into the C6 when everyone got a huge discount from dealers.
This discussion is centered around pricing for the C7 in its first year of production.

The best bet is to try a big dealer someplace cold with lots of allocation and snow all over the ground. Order by phone and pick it up at the Museum.
