We ruined it ourselves. If we weren't so hell bent on finding out information these little videos would be great. But nope we have to analyze spy photos, renderings..every little thing down to every detail. I say just get in your mind that you will see the car on 1/13/13 and either ignore everything before then or take it for what it's worth. cheers

2005 C6 did have the XM wart located on the halo, as shown in the screen shot.

I will admit GM marketing has an interesting framework for getting younger folks on board with the GT5 car and the FaceBook/Twitter. Their expectations are going to be less specific than ours would be. Whether this effort will turn into future sales is another matter.
The LT1 announcement was well done. It's the 1-13-13 content that I think is silly.

All 2005 C6's that had the RPO U2K option(XM) had the wart and it was on the halo on coupes and on the rear deck lid on convertibles. If your car does not have the wart, it either is not a 2005, does not have the U2K option, or it has the U2K option and the wart was removed.
But, all 2005's with the U2K option had the black wart from the factory. Check the sticker on your glove box door and see if U2K is listed. The U2K option was only available with the 1SB.
For the 2006 C6's, the XM antenna was moved to the outside mirrors.

Joe, fuzzy memory by me. My '05 Coupe was a 1SB without the U2K option. I stand now informed
I guess I was lucky not to check that box. I don't need Sat Radio.
U2K Sound System Feature, XM Satellite Radio (available only on 1SB) $325
Coupes 14,833 55.5%
Verts. 7,063 66.4%
Totals. 21,896 58.6%
'05 C6 Production
Total 2005 Corvettes Built - 37,372
Total 2005 Coupes - 26,728
Total 2005 Convertibles - 10,644

I guess waiting the majority of a decade for GM to finally renew this wonderful car has just gotten old for some of us.

It has to be pretty, fast, and well-built; it doesn't have to use premium-quality materials like carbon fibre and ash, but it does need to be solid...any car should be solid. The C7 is looking like it might just deliver, but certain unknowns like the interior and how Chevrolet finished the rear end could kill it for others my age.

Being a young folk and having talked cars with random people at the college campus, the expectation I gather is that Corvette has to meet or exceed the styling and performance from the likes of Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, and Aston Martin both inside and out in order to grab their interest. They don't care for heritage styling cues, throwback RPO codes, logos, or value (I suspect this last one is because they aren't too interested in Corvette to begin with).
