Another crappy rendering of the C7...convertible this time!

Why is this a crappy rendering. It looks like all the other drawings and
spy shots seen so far.
What someone should do is photo work the back with round light and
it will look just like a C6

Hell, this is the ONLY new Corvette we can have! In essence we are prisoners of whatever design GM concocts this time around.
I've often marveled how certain individuals defend this design (as rendered) so vociferously, and disregard any critiques offered in good faith.
I think you hit it: The Stockholm Syndrome!

I don't think the rear end is still not right, some of the curves and proportions are off. I think the color of the car is going to be very important with this design, dark colors; black, night race blue, dark burgundy, will look best. I'm still warming up to the vent on top of the hood. I'm still wandering about the rear vents???

Doesn't make sense to me. You can't ever tell from weird single-perspective renders, but this makes it look like the back deck is higher at the rear and slopes forward towards the doors. That would make rainwater pool at the join with the top (the most vulnerable place for leaks) and would also spill it into the driver and passenger as soon as the doors opened. Not the way I would design a car!

Now i've always been a defender of the rear end but something looks off here. I hate convertibles and hate how they completely ruin the lines of any car but the back looks wayyyyyyyyy too squared off here.

This is what happens when someone without talent speculates poorly on what it will look like. And then the circling sharks among us smell blood and clumsily attempt to join in the feeding frenzy

This can't be close......Ugh....
It looks like a vehicle that escaped from a Mothra vs Godzilla movie.

The artist has applied too much C6. Most of the "magazine" renderings do this -- heck, look at how they made the white C6 camouflage (posted earlier in this thread) look like a C5.
In this case, there's too much C6 in the headlight lamps, the doors, and the side cove.
When they don't lift from the previous generation, they just make up goofy stuff for no good reason. Seriously, what's up with the black straked vent?
And then they just defy established credible data. Do the artists not bother to look at the same things we all share here, or can they just not discern and retain credible details? How do you come up with that backside given the Omega rear fascia tooling?

I love my convertible and this does NOT make me want to upgrade. Something is off with the rear deck. It looks huge and flat.
As for the rest of the rear....only thing I can't stand is the "raccoon mask" around the tail lights.
