I know this is getting old however, I am really hoping for a 2 + 2 ( I'm 27 own a C6, and have my first born on the way ), but do you guys see a armrest under the B pillar on this picture? The B pillar window is positioned perfectly behind the driver seat for someones viewing pleasure, and a small grove looks to be where a arm could rest? Thoughts??
What about the seat belt? Now that I think about Safety, is it even allowed to have a seat belt just go over your hips? Because clearly, they don't have one coming off of the B pillar that would cross your chest... hmmm...
There could be a shoulder harness retractor under the guys elbow area.
I don't know why it is so hard to believe there could be some sort of rear package shelf type seat. But, there would have to be head restraints, I suppose removable or some such. We will see.
Have the seat belt attach to the seat back, and fold down with the seat. The back of the CTS-V Coupe has about the same room. Looks like the seat bottom folds up and then the seat back folds down? Also no seat belt on the drivers/pax seat? The other pictures posted have the seat belt of the drivers seat going through the window in the driver/pax seat.
Edit: the CTSv Coupe wheel base is 113.4 vs C6 105.7 (-7.7 inches). Can the move the fuel x feed around the back of the trans, and move the x brace up to the hoop, wide flat fuel tank? Either way; if they do make it work none of us will ever fit in the back.

Reality check here. With the overall dimensions of the C7 very similar to that of C6 and even your post supports this. How would you ever fit back seats into it unless you stretched the frame significantly. And there have been no spy picks to date that would suggest this.
Please note the cross support member blocking access to the back.
They have already made modifications to clear room for the front seats. Who is to say they didn't do this for the rears? I wouldn't rule this out is all I'm saying
Also note that the "B" pillar remains very near the back of the seats so that the cross frame support member will also be immediately behind the seats blocking access.

Congrats on the new kiddo on the way. Also congrats on being 27 and owning a C6, i didnt get my first till 32. Can i make a suggestion to you, if you need a 2+2 for a kid any sports car is not really going to be the way to go imho. Does your wife have a car with 4 doors? That might be the answer you are looking for if its that simple.

Me neither, but it is against rational thinking based on what has been suggested so far. This Op presents no real clues as a counter point. Even his evidence is conflicting.
There is simply no space in the car for rear seats. So all this speculation about rears seat is TOTAL NONSENSE. So stop it!!!
The small attachments points behind both front seats that look like child restrains appear to be for full race shoulder belts. This make sense since the front seats have holes for the racing shoulder belts.

Please look closely at the bottom photo that has "DocRebuild.com" printed across the bottom. Do you not see the gas filler, the top of the left gas tank, the cross-over piping to the right gas tank and the transmission? As has been asked before in this ongoing hopeless conversation: "where would these items be moved to to make room for a rear seat?" Moving the gas tank back to where it was for C2/3/4 would remove all luggage space, put that 100 to 150 pounds of gas some 10 to 12 inches higher and ruin the fine chassis balance that was achieved with the C5 & C6. Even a toddler-sized seat would require a seat cushion about 14" deep and 4 to 6 inches of leg room would also be required. That would require extending the wheelbase at least 14 inches and that, based on the numerous spy photos we've all seen, has obviously not happened.
As for the widening of the space between the frame rails, only an inch or two is needed to fit a better seat. That could be done just by running the rails closer to the outer body work but it would also be possible to make the rails taller and thinner without getting them as tall as they are in the C4 or even making them slightly "L" shaped in the area near the seats.
Think there is too much wishin' and not enough thinkin' out there.

Thanks my friend!
Yes, we own a 4 door Lexus CT200H hybrid, and I will always own a corvette, back seat or no back seat in the C7. One cool thing is that it's legal in the state of Indiana to have a child car seat in a corvette as long as the air bag is off, so I'm clear either way. I'm just fascinated by a 2 + 2 possibility
Why do people have to get some aggressive? Sweet mother of god, I thought topics like these, are what the "C7 General discussion" was for.
Not aggression - simply disappointment. Thought anyone interested enough to seek out this forum would have some basic understanding of Corvette engineering and marketing and would be especially attuned to GM's recent financial situation and the limitations that has placed on product development.
I would even say it looks like a hand hold to help you out of the car in the little quarter window? You would need a hand hold to get out of that bucket.

The back seat fantasy has been foisted upon this forum damn near a dozen times in the past five days alone. In light of multiple existing threads, to post a fresh one that does NOTHING to counter the basic and repeated evidence against the back seat is willful ignorance and invites a pointed response.
