Default Steering wheel option

Will the C7 steering wheel come standard with a suede covering? Will there be smooth leather option? Will the wheel have a flat bottom?

A more important question for me is, will the wheel diameter be big enough to make it suitable for bus use, like most Corvettes that have been built (I hope not).

My inside sources inform me that the steering wheel will be square.

My guess is it will have smooth leather as standard with a 'suede-ish' alacantara covering as part of some option package.
A racing inspired 'flatish' bottom is a possibility too I'd bet.

With me 'size does matter' as well when it comes to steering wheels. Fortunately I've been quite happy with the 2006+ C6 steering wheel's overall diameter, hoping the C7's is no bigger (hopefully smaller but that's doubtful).

The stuff I saw had the flat bottom wheel. That was the only difference I could see from the oxphotos.

So I am guessing it either got gassed for some reason or it will be an option as part of a sport pack.

Oxphotos and KeeksCADs...what fun! We could use a few more of each in the next week or so!

C6 is not too big. What years are you referring to?

The 2005 C6 wheel is too big. Not fatally so, but it got smaller in 2006 to everyone's delight.

If there's an optional steering wheel in the brochure, I bet it's at least a couple of months into production before more than one steering wheel goes down the line on a customer car. GM likes to keep things simple in the early going.

It's also possible that the flat-bottomed wheel is part of the Z model and won't be seen in MY2014.

It's a Camaro, it's a GT-R, it's a Ferrari, and it's also a Boston Whaler.

I heard the steering wheel will have Camaro lights and a back seat.

Yes - sadly, the 2005 C6 steering wheel was the same size as the C5 wheel. That size would be good with manual steering - but no reason to go there.
