Unexciting Performance
i like the looks, including the new interior. definitely different and should grow on us.
the specs and performance are not so great. really expected it to be faster in the 1/4 than the 911s. with a 3.9s 0-60 and 12.3 1/4, the 911s leaves it behind in both metrics.
had hopes that the new 8sp would help, but now even that is gone from the initial release. maybe by production time and some real tests, performance will be better.
my modded c6 is good for 3.5s 0-60 and 11.60 1/4 and is just barely faster than the 911 with a lot less finesse.
i may wait til near the end of 2013 to see if a performance version is announced.
of course, i could always add an sc to the base like i did to the c6 and be faster than the 911 as well as saving about 45k. i hope the c7 interior and ride are as nice as the 911 so i could drive it on some longer trips.

No, it's doesn't. We haven't even been given numbers except that it will be under 4 second 0-60. Period.
