Default Wow..Taking a big step!

Hello, New member here. Saw the unveil last night and was very impressed with what I saw. GM is finally taking the step to try to make this C7 a global car. The car has a modern look which is edgy. The corvette has always been a good car, but lacked in certain areas ( I owned a C5). Now looking at this car objectively and not being a current corvette owner I can see why there is so much backlash with current owners. This car looks nothing like the C6 and thats the current C6 owners problem. When this hits the road the C6 will be oldnews, but thats not a bad thing. GM is upping their game and if the price goes up so be it.
I know everyone will have their own opinion but this car will sell.

Cheers GM

I think it's perfect. I guess I work for GM too. Anyone else sick of all the negativity?

Yep, but expected I guess. We just see more of it because of the internet.

Yes, probably the best thing to do is ignore it, and remain positive.

Corvette enthusiasts don't want or need universal appeal.

We like being different and have something that is iconic, not run of the mill. (Camaro).

Up until now, when you were in your Corvette, everyone new it was a Corvette. They didn't have to like it. But they knew what it was.

The Corvette owner liked it. That's what it was designed for.

Can't wait for the first owners to start commenting about when they were at the gas station and someone says to them, is that a new Camaro?

I know it happens now with someone having a dumb comment about what kind of car is that?

Just wait!

Not the masses.

I like the C7, too, and am impressed with what GM has done with the car. If that means I'm also a GM shill, I'm ticked off because my paychecks aren't hitting my bank account.

Thanks speedlink: Thats the difference between us.. I'm a car enthusiast not just corvette.. Obviously we think different look at the Corvette ALMS & LeMans program..that is to show the world what this car can do globally. We also do Rolex, Scca but thats a whole other story. I get if you don't agree but whats the point of bashing the camaro. I might be wrong but you seem like the type ( I own a vette its the best thing out there club..nothing wrong with that ..many other owners with other marques have the same view as you with their cars). I think that the Camaro also has a pretty good racing history stateside, but you have no idea about that.
I'm sorry I like the C7 and I guess when I see it on the road I won't know what it is? Your like another post I read when someone was calling the Aventador a Ferrari.. was that U
