No way. The C6 looks every bit as good as the C7 from the outside, as I like both cars from that angle.

However the interior of the C7 is now a huge weakness. Because before, the C6 interior was always as good or better than Porsche & BMW. But now so much of the C7 is just tech-gone-crazy.

I don't want standard map screens, I don't like "star wars" style dashboards, I don't need gadgetry all over the steering wheel, nor do I want fuzzy 70's style suede in a car interior.

And what happened to the bean counters?
Can you imagine someone trying to repair that computer aided clutch-based rear differential? GM service probably charges a million dollars!

But there are several things I do like better about the C7;
I wish I had the lightweight aluminum frame on my 2012 1LT.
I do like the design of the C7 wheels better.
The idea of a reduced size push-button brake on the console is probably an advancement too.

Apart from that though, I think the C7 offers no improvement.
And that's mainly because the C6 is already such a great car!!!

So enjoy them both!

The C7 looks better from the side. The C6 looks better from the front and back.

So on the Corvette forum, full of Corvette fans, less than 1/2 of the voters in the C7 poll said "they loved it". Less than half! If it was even somewhat good looking it would have got 75%.

What a disaster...

Your thread title is complete bull. You, and tons others on here, have the mindset of 14 year old girls apparently. If you love it, that makes sense. If you don't love everything about it, you're a "hater" or "troll." Yeah ok, because not liking something new, just because it's new, means your a hater and it's not simply an honest opinion. Sorry, you and all the other derps needed called out. Buck up cupcake, people disagree with your opinion, fo real.

I think it's overall a bad design. It's exactly like the camaro, it's cartoonish, like a hotwheels custom car. It looks like a c6 with a 500 dollar body kit, and honestly, the similar designs from other cars make it seem unoriginal. I really don't like the new viper, but after looking at it and the c7, the viper's body lines all flow. Each curve compliments another. The c7 is too choppy. It's just too many angles. Like I said, it's cartoonish, like a ten year old had a hand in it.

I think im tired of all the bad comments about GM being govt motors, or that they just build crap. There were a lot of guys who put everything they had into this car. You could see the emotion on their faces when they revealed the new car. You could tell they worked hard on it and were proud. I for one think they did a great job. Its still a vette, and looks like a vette, but it also looks 21st century, modern, and hot as hell. I personally think they are going to sell this new car like crazy. All you have to do is look at the beginning of this thread, to compare the c6 to the c7. yes the c6 was and is a nice car. But I think the c7 is a tremendous effort from a great team.
Ah....NO. The C7 does not strike me as a beautiful car. It strikes me as a buttah-face - the body is alright - but the face is f'n ugly - except in this case it's the ***-end that's f'n ugly...

the c6 interior was crap. not only was the leather crap, the whole interior was dated, cheap, and used a cobalt steering wheel. better than a bmw and porsche? Give me a break!

No not a disaster, every new model has haters from previous generations, every time. The C7 has more haters because they built to attract new and different customers, make it more of a target.

Don't know where you extrapolated your passing results grade from, but that's clearly a made up number.

I read that a little differently.
Half love it without ever seeing it in person, 20% want to see it in person first which, by all accounts it looks even better. 20% have reservations and a whopping 6% hate it.
Seems pretty good to me and I am willing to bet the c6 would have done worse or the same if anyone did a pole on the c6 forums at that time.

Every one of you that are saying that the "other" people are wrong or crazy are out of your minds... To say that the new one is way better bla bla bla or the old one is way better bla bla bla is just rediculous. Everyone's opinions are just that, opinions. If someone likes the old, it doesn't make the c7 lovers opinions wrong and vice versa... I just don't get why everyone is fighting and getting mad at everyone else for their opinions. Besides the fact that yes the new c7 is different, obviously the back is, but the two are basically the same... The overall lines are the same (with obvious tweaks) but the front end is similar, minus the fogs and vent. The side silhouettes are similar except for the squarer lines. The top was tweaked by simply chopping the curved rear glass and adding sides... And so on... It's NOT a dramatic change like the c3 to c4was...

You want to argue about the back fine, but the rest of the car is too similar to say one is a WORLD ahead of the other, that is nuts....

If these could be photoshopped to be the same size and made a little transparent to put them behind each other i think the lines will be close to identical...

No, sorry. The C6 is gorgeous from every angle. It's a timeless design that flows together perfectly. The C7 will look ridiculous in ten years time. I'm sure it's a great car, and an absolute thrill to drive, but it's not beautiful the way a C6 or even a C5 is.

Come on guys. The C6 deserves a little better than this. It was a beauty when it first came out 9 years ago and to say it looks like crap today is not a fair statement. The C7 has a lot of similar lines that the C6 has passed down to it. The C7 is a good looking car but it owes its style cues to the C6. Every generation of Corvette has had something to pass onto the next....and in their respective times, they were all beautiful...and still are Corvettes! Progress is good for everyone

By comparison, the C6 just looks so...... normal. Then again, it is nearly a decade old and it's probably just so familiar.

The C6 and C7 look pretty close from the side. For me every angle the C6 looks bad ***. The C7 I really dont like the back. The front looks good but the back with the lights, Rear Windows! ( plural since it has back seat windows) Sorry overall the C6 base looks better in my eyes. I am 32 years old also so dont think I am 80 yrs old.

Well... hate to burst your bubble...

But.. that is NOT a photo of the base C7.

It is a Z51 optioned C7.

Base has far less than what is shown.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The C7 is beautiful and to me, more so than my C6...until you get to the rear end.

So C7 Z51 is = to a C6 Grandsport correct? If thats the case then the GS looks better hands down in my opinion.

Uh - the problem with your statement is that you're not comparing base model to base model - the C7 you're showing is the Z51, with lots of different exterior features.

We haven't seen the base model C7 yet. GM chose to "reveal" the C7 in Z51 trim.............

remember - "apples to apples"..................
