Default C7 Performance benchmark

As a C6 ZO6 owner, I am hoping that the C7's overall performance will be right at the level of my car. Also bear in mind that I'm still not warmed up with the rear end design, so I probably won't own one until that changes in a few years (hopefully).

The base C6 is a drivers race against a C5 ZO6 or marginally slower. It just seems like common sense that the C7 should have the same or slightly slower performance than the C6 ZO6 because of this.

I'm actually hoping that the horsepower is right at 500 if the 3300 lb+ weight is true. I know the other technology will definitely help the performance as well, but from my point of view it seems the C7's performance will be closer to a C6 Grand Sport than a C6 ZO6.

Better range of power and torque close to the Z06 will make it pretty quick. I think I saw a 3.9 Sec estimate somewhere.

Yes, still very quick. But don't you agree that it should be a drivers race between the C6 ZO6? I'm still hoping, but the weight and narrow tires are discouraging.

All depends in the transmission a lower ratio tranny and shorter gears may be what it needs to keep up with a C6 Z06 even if it has less power or is heavier. I think it will be close with the C6 Z06 edging it out but a defnety a drivers race :-)
