Same can be said for those that love the car. It seems that they say the same thing over and over. OK we get it you like/love the car. Great that is your opinion.

And please can we drop the word HATERS. I don't think I have seem many post where some one has said I HATE the C&, sure many have voiced there displeasure mostly on the rear end, but because someone says that dislike a portion of the C7 and then people like you label them HATERS is a little over the top.

changes always bring out opinions, they may not agree with one's particular position, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. it fosters discussion. in this case (in my opinion), it's kind of tough to figure since most of us haven't seen anything but pictures, not the real thing. as far as the comment on all the designers and engineers, etc who have poured their efforts into this 7th generation corvette, to me it looks pretty much like they all took their cues from the ferrari italia. i honestly expected when they opened the doors at the preview that they would "lambo", lol!

while i have an opinion regarding this newest in the long line of corvettes, i don't believe it fair to overstate ANY opinion until i can get a real in person look at it. in the meantime, i am enjoying my C3 and my C5 and i'll go from there.

Maybe the lovers post they love it lots because this forum is for Corvette owners who love Corvettes and it really is more about celebrating the Corvette than bashing it.

We need a section called "The Couch". This is where the whiners can go complain about how GM can't design a real car and how unfair their life has been.

The negativity is SO THICK that there are no real valuable threads anymore. Every single thread is filled with vitriol.

What's funny is how all the ones who see no faults have resorted to name calling the people that don't 100% like the car. I mean, some people are taking any negative comments REALLY personally and responding that way.

My favorite is the the idea that if you don't like it...it's because you can't afford to. I honestly have no way of comprehending how one can think that way.

- "can't afford one anyway"
- "not true Corvette fans"
- part of the devolving of America"
and, most recently,
- "pansies"

Wonder how the supporters would feel if (not that this should ever be done...) some ignorant fool called them, oh, say, "fanbois", "C7 tail hoes", "more money than taste", "sycophants", or some thing similar? I think they would be outraged, and rightly so.

Feels a little different when the shoe's on the other foot, doesn't it?

You're right, actually. I do respect the varying opinions of others, until they repeat the same garbage day in and day out.

And my statement makes perfect sense. Look at everything that's been done..
Beefed up steering, 5x stiffer than c6.
Electric power steering, suspension, 'driver mode select', for enhanced experience, brakes, Michelin SS tires..7 speed manual. Just for starters..
Are you telling me you think this base model c7 Corvette will perform below the level of the outgoing model? it won't.
Regardless whether or not its been said by GM unequivocally, which it has I am willing to say that given those upgrades that I can take them at their word, unless They were lying about the car which they are not.

Actually I was indeed called a fanboi on the c7 forum, for posting a positive comment. I laughed, told the fool he was on the c7 forum and ignored him promptly.
