Default C7 Hood Vent

How many of you would think the hood vent might look better if it matched the body color?

I think it might with certain color's.

Yes with certain colors that will deff be the case. All the vent pieces seem to be painted the centenial color so at least they are painted and not cheap bare plastic like on the C6. Unless its just the front and rear bumpers.

IMO Chevrolet has decided that black is the new chrome. Well maybe not that bad. The black stuff gives those pieces a carbon look.
It may be if those vents where a light color they may discolor. I am thinking about buying a darker color. They could be painted body color for a custom look. Lots of possibilities for giving it the personal touch..

That would be the logical thing to do...but it is far less expensive for a single color...an option increases cost for painting plus sticking more then one number.
IMO and with my C7 I will strongly consider making vents body colored. If for no other reason then hiding them in plain sight...

For a nominal fee you could always have vent removed then painted - don't see as a large issue.

I'm sure the aftermarket guys are already figuring out how to sell replacement body color or carbon fiber vents.

I agree with SWVALLEYGUY-for a nominal fee,no big deal. However,I happen to like it,as it offsets the hood.
