I have the sales brochure and it is standard on all levels one through three.
I may be wrong but I think Uncle Sam requires a back up camera on all 2014 cars.
Yup. In order to save the children, a camera has been installed so you can see what is behind you while backing up.
It seems that too many people fail to check their mirrors while backing and hit things (children). So now there's a screen in the rear-view mirror so that people who don't check their mirrors won't hit kids... Think about that.
A cheaper and more effective measure would be beeping proximity sensors.

Someone else told me it was going to be a requirement in all 2014 cars. But then I was thinking many low end vehicles don't have screens in the dash.
I'm glad we're finally getting one because there isn't a Corvette driver alive who can back their car up and not be three feet away from were they wanted to be.

I hate those beeping back up horns. I'd pull the wire before I left the dealer. Unfortunately couldn't defeat the other cars.
