Default Enough, already!

As of this post, there are 31 threads on this forum that have the word Camaro in the title. There are also 250 threads that have Camaro in the body of the thread - ten pages of threads.

Why are people who enjoy Corvettes so hung up on the Camaro??

NOTE: Yeah, I get it. The above question is intended to be sarcastic, facetious and rhetorical. I'm just trying to make a point:

Enough, already!

It is a sad thing that there are people who love the negative. They are not happy unless they are negative.we all know people like that.
I support people who have good arguments for their position. I support people who find some fault with C6 or C7. The problem lays with people who reject the entire car.

When a critic blast the whole car there has to be a deeper problem. Read these threads all day long and you will find those who hate the whole car. Worse some would reject the whole car based on one or two features. That is illogical . I am talking now about all model Corvettes not just the C7. Say you do not like say the head lights. So the whole car is crap? I do not think so. That will get you quickly labeled.

So? If we fail to be critical of GM, we get abysmal quality, zero customer service, and vehicles years behind the competition.

Wait, we are kind of still getting all that.

But the Camaro complaints are valid and widespread, by no means just on this site.

The wonderful thing about the forum is that you can avoid threads you don't want to participate in

A forum is a great place to share like thinking. Unfortunately for you many people do feel the rear greatly resembles a Camaro. I and everyone I've shown it to believes this, but at the same time we all also think the new vette looks great and is worlds improved over the C6.

The rear DOES resemble a Camaro though. I strongly suggest growing thick skin about it now because you'll hear it throughout the entire life of the C7. It isn't just other Corvette owners that think this; it's the majority of the world, lol. Are they the same? Not at all. There IS enough resemblance to make people relate the two though.

Edit - as said above, being critical brings change. After years of the corvette having absolute **** interiors and horrible seats we finally have a car coming to market with seats befitting a sports car. I don't think the rear is something that needs to change though as I'm quite fond of it.

I rejected the entire C5 generation because I didn't like the fat behind.

But when I just wasn't finding what I was looking for in the C4, I started looking at C5s and guess what? I bought a great C5 and now I don't even notice the rear anymore.

Sure, it was a show stopper at one point, but I wanted a Corvette so I sucked it up and moved on.

Ah....well I just rejected the entire C5 line all together because I couldn't get over the looks of it. It was too bland for my tastes so I went with a 4th gen WS6 Trans Am instead.

There are always options

31 freaking threads just with that one name in the title in 4 days. Do you not see how hysterical that makes Corvette owners seem? It's what you would expect to see on a 15 year old's Facebook page. Not on a Car sight with grown-ups...
