Its starting to grow on me. I even hate the back a little less now the more I see it.

Stop the presses. Jet Streaming might ACTUALLY be coming around. Wait until you see the car in person...

The Vert is much better looking than I expected. That was the turning point for me. The tail for what ever reason looks MUCH BETTER on the vert than the coupe.

I will eat crow also. When this car was unveiled last Sunday evening I was disappointed and did not like it (at least that is what I thought). I think the main reason was we had seen so many renderings that looked almost 100% just like the real deal, and we kept being told, just wait until 1-13-13 and you will be pleasantly surprised.
I did not like the little windows behind the B-Pillas or the infamous Camaro tail lights. Well after a day or so and some research, I don't believe those are modeled after the Camaro as many seen to think, but a refined rear section of the 2009 Concept Corvette (Transformer).
So I am hear to say I have come around and I truly like the C7.

Wish I could convince my dad to sell all three of his c4s(yeah, yeah, they aren't worth much, except maybe his '96 Convertible), and put a deposit down on a Crystal Red Metallic Convertible. Oh well, in another life.

I can understand him liking his C4s. C4s were that last of the true Corvette IMO, it was still an unrefined brute of a car but a hell of a lot of fun to own and drive. Starting with C5 the Corvette started to get very refined and for me that took a little bit of the fun out of Corvette ownership, but it had to move in that direction to compete with its rivals from Japan and Germany. So we move on.

I know a lot of people bad moth the C4, but I had an '86 and I enjoyed the car. After all back then what did we have to compare them to. As mentioned they were a step above the C3, which was what I moved out of to get the C4.
They were not the easiest to get in and out of, the ladies hated them if they were in a short skirt, but I had no issue with them at that point.

The C5 is just too easy for me. It's so soft and cushy. I mean I love the looks and running through the gears, but on a day-to-day basis, the C4 is for me.

I feel the same way. Still not thrilled with the back end, but I downloaded a bunch of pics to my screensaver and after looking at it for a couple of days I like it a lot.

I've daily driven both C4's and C5's and I actually prefer the C4 oddly enough. I'm the kind of person that likes a challenge. And keeping my C4 on the road is quite a fun challenge. The C4 feels more like a race car to me. Though the C5+'s power is much better than my LT1.
