Industry preview day
Great day at the show yesterday, sharp displays, pretty girls everywhere and yes, two new C7 Corvette's on display (one on the wall!). We got there right at noon when it opened and I would say there where about 50 people around the gray car that was on a rotating stand. When we left the show at around 3pm there were hundreds of people around it! My first impression was , sexy, fast and I want one! The big question that many have is about the rear end and I think it works very well. This car with the many flat angles would not work with round tail lights (sorry). You can't explain how it looks from pictures or even videos. They opened the driver door so you could see the interior and it looks awesome, seats look very expensive. They had a cool display on a wall of the interior so you could walk up to it and check things out, very good looking. So, my only request....larger wheels. The gray car had the 19's and 18's on the front, this car needs 20's in back with 19's up front. I think I read here that the Z51 package has that? Take my advice and go to the show, and lets be grateful that our Corvette is in good hands. GM has done a masterful job in making it all new, but still there is no question, its a Corvette!

One more thing for us all to remember.....there is no way that GM makes any money on the Vette or for that matter ever has. Its a Halo car for them and we should all be grateful that it exists! If not your choices would be the Viper, Porsche or the Mustang.

Did the gray car have the five spoke wheels or the split spoke wheels as show on the red Z51? Did the gray car have the base spoiler or the Z51 spoiler?
