I think this was made before the Z06 even came out...nice try though.

GM's own performance figures say just under 4.0 sec for C7 0-60. Again, GM's figures, not forum noise. The same GM figures (apples-to-apples road test data), put the C6Z06 at 3.7 sec 0-60 - that's much faster that the C7.
And if you're wondering, GM doesn't use big rounding figures in their quoted test data. They cite the C6 Grand Sport at 3.95 sec 0-60 - very precise - and, that's also "just under 4.0 seconds." (sounds similar)
So, according to GM themselves, the C7 performance is about = to the C6 Grand Sport.
(No need to excessively self-lubricate about build specs and technology when you have apples-to-apples performance data from the same manufacturer.)
Done.

Yeah true, my bad it is old but I guarantee you that the ZR1 is not the best braking car in the world.

No I won't, I am only talking about the current Z51 optioned car. I know, if they come out with a ZR1 type C7, it will smoke mine, well, maybe not mine (LPE stage 3 upgrade) but a stock one. But the funny thing is, I will be driving that C7 ZR1.

with cup tires it would be only behind the Z06 Carbon (brakes and MRSA stolen from ZR1)

No, but GM later posted other spec's of the C7 that matched what C&D showed. If C&D somehow "guessed" the other dimensions down to .1", I'm thinking C&D is not guessing, but learned what the numbers are from their personal interviews with GM engineers.

I belive some of the specs like dimensions are from GM, but they are guessing about other things. Remember when C&D said the C7 would have a 5.5 liter engine?

Yep, but that was before C&D actually set down and had a face to face discussion about the C7 with GM's engineers.

Okaay, what does that mean? 3.94 seconds?
This is exactly my bitch with GM: They accomplished a lot just maintaining 450HP with much higher gas milage, but they are hyping C7 performance while be coy at the same time.
C7 performance gains just don't add up (until they show up with their performance 'A' game in a future Z version):
> Not a lighter car
> Similar HP
> Less rubber underneath
GM: Just take credit for the looks, interior quality and fuel efficiency and don't BS about the rest.
