And once the Vette hits it stride after the 60' it beats what over priced, over weight pig and will go to what? 200mph, oh and out brake the Audi any day and out track that maybe even lap it. Lol! Guess I am am someone that can see cars as a sum of all performance instead of a 0-60 time of a AWD car. The C7 and C6 Z06 will be closer then you think.

I won't knock the R8. It's a sexy beast. The corvette is also sexy and gives you more bang for the buck. I would like to see the C7 Hi-Perf paired up with the R8 on the track though.

That guy should try apples to apples. Base C7 vs base R8. The 'vette will wipe the floor with that Volkswagen. This Audi "RS" whatever is FWD based and will never have as much mojo as ///M or AMG. There's a reason why Audis are priced below Bimmers and Mercs because that is where they belong when it comes to direct competition. That is why that idiot is trying to pick on Chevy now. I hope he knows that the ZR1 destroys each and every car that Audi makes/made.

Frankly, this whole piece seems wrong. First, I doubt Audi would make these kind of comments and compare a C7 to a performance SEDAN. Secondly, the Brits have never gotten over the fact that their ENTIRE car industry is owned by foreigners!!!!!

Wow this went from an RS6 to an R8 to a FWD to a more than triple the price drive train wreck real quick. Not sure what the Audi guy was refering to when he stated kill it but in a straight line yes it will beat the C7 unless the C7 numbers are higher than we expect. The S6 does o 60 in 3.7 and is quattro/AWD when needed, not sure about the RS6s time, and cost 70K. Same price as a Z06 but the Audi does have alot more lux than the current Z06. But to compare the two as an apples to apples is no way. But if you want a lux 4 door with some performance and great interior even over the BMWs then Audi is the way to go. I personally would get the S6 for my family car and then the C7 for MY car.
