Detailing the C-7
I'm pretty excited about the C-7 (tail light issues aside.) A bit disappointed it might take so long to get one, though.
I keep my C-5 pretty clean, often detailing the exterior after a drive. Every few drives I do the wheels, tires, interior, wheel wells, trunk and hood areas plus engine.
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but since the C-7 was intro'd and I saw all those vents one of my first thoughts were: "WOW! That's going to take a lot of detail spray and fiber cloths to keep it clean!!"
And that grille! YIKES!!!
So what's an extra 30 minutes a day, eh?

Scraping the splitter.
I was actually admiring how GM has made it easier to vacuum the hatch area. The optional black wheels also make it easier to Armor All the tires.

Gotta love the waxers/detailers. Intro of the C7. And, the concern is "how am I going to clean it". My advice: Buy a Silver C7.

I always try to keep my Corvette cleaned, I do drive it in the rain. I drive it on the track and yes, I've run it through the car wash before.
I always enjoy and appreciate a finely detailed car because I know the effort that went in to it and yes, I have spent some time early on showing my Corvettes.
No disrespect to the OP but I have to believe that somewhere in Detroit, Troy, Milford and Bowling Green you can hear the collective thuds of performance development, chasis development and aero engineers as their heads hit their desk that all their hard work and thousands of test miles and hundreds of hours of wind tunnel time come down to hard to clean.

The problem is with the black plastics. Especially on the back bumper and on the hood where the sun will wreak havoc. It will be very hard to maintain that 'fresh off the showroom floor' look. I hope i am seeing things, but the front grill looks to be honeycombed. If so, break out the toothbrush or equivalent, and there go's your afternoon.
Upon purchase of a C7, GM should throw in some 3M masking tape! Otherwise, polishing/waxing will be tricky.

with the OP, cleaning those black plastic vents is gong to be a pain. I will wager that a third party will come out with chrome or body color matched versions of these vents which will help in the cleaning of the beast. Billet grills are probably being designed right now.

That's some funny stuff right there!

I don't think I will ever tooth brush the grill. The vents could get blocked with mud when driven off road through the mud bog, a high pressure water hose should remove most of the crud. Just kidding about the high pressure water hose.

"Cover up that unsightly C7 carbon fiber interior with these walnut-colored, stick-on wood trim pieces!"
