Default C7 Widebody Version?

I'm wondering if the high-performance version of the C7, whether that be a GS, Z0X, ZR1, etc, will have a slightly different body style than the base coupe. I'd certainly like to see a wider tire underneath the version that is supposedly going to be in the mid 600hp range...

I've read some postings that the high-performance version already exists and is undergoing testing now, but has anyone seen it?

The answer to this will likely influence whether or not I will buy a 2014 car or not...

It is already wider than the base C6, so one could say it is already a "widebody" as no one seems to be able to come up with a solid logical definition of that term.

Yep, it could already be a wide body. But it may be a few years down the road before a "flared wheel area" model comes out.

This car is already wider than the 6, so more than likely will see bigger tires tucked in under the fenders, flares add a lot of drag to the tune of about 10mph at top speed, so there is a good possibility that fenders will remain the same or maybe wider without the flares, like in the C6Rs that won LeMans.

I agree. There is plenty of room within the fenders for wider wheels/tires.

They could still keep the Stingray model and do a flared GrandSport model. As popular as the GS has been it seems like a natural that it would pop up down the road.

I could care less if they flare the wheel wells as long as we can stuff a 325 to 345 rear tire under the fender, That would look bad ***..Oh yea..
