I have been given an important and interesting task from a good client and friend, to order a brand new Stingray with any options that I see fit. I readily admit that I have zero experience with the Corvette brand, and could use any input or opinions on what options are musts, some that I should avoid etc. Fortunately finances are not a concern in this situation. The car will be driven less than 3,000 miles a year.
My concern is also picking a dealer in the NJ-NY-PA area that is sure to receive them upon launch. Any strategy with this? Is their going to be a shortage or will there be plenty?
I looked up Wards top dealer sellers in 2012 and unfortunately not only does Chevy not frequent the list much, it doesn't fall near our area.
Thank you in advance for any help. The Stingray in Leno's garage, was that Torch Red? Wow that's a hot color.

He's a long time forum dealer and can walk you through the details.
Chevy isn't yet taking orders and has not released prices for the cars or the option packages. But I'm sure they can get you on a waiting list for when those events happen.
If it were me, I'd get the Z51 option with the magnetic ride in a 3LT package. That's performance and luxury in one car.
Enjoy and wave at every other Vette you see.
And yes, I believe that was Torch Red in Leno's show.
