I noticed what appears to be 2 sets of flapper valves on the exhaust system. 2 behind the mufflers and what appear to be another set ahead of the mufflers.
Did the C6 have this setup or is it something else entirely?
The C6 has flappers after the mufflers that block off the straight through pipes in the quiet mode. Same for the C7. From what I understand the C7 has some sort of flapper in front of the mufflers to "improve" the sound of the engine when it goes into 4 cylinder mode.

What engine is in that photo? Intake manifold doesn't look anything like I've seen on any other C7 shots. Almost looks like it has 16 intake runners, like it's a 32 valve V8. (Hit "Ctr" plus "+" to zoom in with your browser)
Looking at that link, one thing is for sure. If the inner wheel wells permit, there is plenty of room within that suspension to support a much wider wheel without having to go much if any wider on the body.
