Sting Rice
My brother is not a car guy (actually has a nice 85 Monty SS), I showed him the new StingRay, he said more like sting rice. Ouch.

Hard to believe an SS Monty was even made. Lets make a crappy sedan, now throw some hard plastic in the interior and just for grins, paint it black, put an SS sticker on the side and see if we can sell 200 more.

i had an 84 Monte SS, it was a nice car blue with blue int, the 305 V8 left a little to be desired but it was a nice ride.
When i look at the C7 i dont really see rice. Just as when i look at an Aston Martin or a Ferrari F12, i dont see rice, i see world class sports cars. In fact i see dream machines - supercars.
The C7 has a slight resemblance to both. It also resembles a corvette from the front, perhaps a C6 (i have one and thats not rice either).
If the OP's brother really wants to see rice, he should probably go watch Fast & Furious 1-5 and then get back with us. And by that i mean the movies, not our govt's gun running scandal that has killed thousands including our own border patrol agent.

Yea, it's funny how many people I have talked to who are not really car people. When I bring up the C7 the first thing that comes out of their mouth is Camaro rear end.
Sure if you are an enthusiast or look closely, the rears are different. But to many, the the rear of the C7 is quite hideous.
This also goes for the ricer look. I guess this goes along with Chevy trying to appeal to the younger crowd.

Since no one seems to understand the meaning of rice...you can place these right in the rice category as well...
and yes...even this qualifies as rice
Rice is simply "crapping" up your car with useless garbage, stick on light covers, cheap bolt on exhaust tips, trying to look like a lambo when you're not, trying to make it look like something it isn't (ferrari, race car, you name it)...just junking up your car in general IS rice...doesn't have to be japanese.
and yes...even this qualifies as rice
