I know there are a lot of members that do not care for Jake. But seeing next year Corvette Racing will debut the C7R at the 24hours of Daytona, so I thought I would see what the feeling is between the old original Jake and what will most likely be on the C7R.
It might be they come up with a new racing logo. If they just do that maybe they can change the name. I do not own a C6 but it really belongs to them. In my opinion.
Well - the "new Jake" does incorporate the more angular emblem of the C7 - and the then resultant slanted eyes reflect the Asian design influence Tom Peters has acknowledged.............

You may be right, but I think the Take No Prisoners and Jake go hand and hand with Corvette Racing. Yes it did first appear on the 2005 C6, but it has become synonymous with Corvette Racing I don't think it will go away.
Are the guys at Bad Boy Vettes even working on a new version of Jake?
Yes I did contact Bad Boys and here is their reply.
"Yes but now the field is crowded. We think GM Design is going to create the "official Jake" design of the what was the badboy "unofficial" racing mascot. Fine with us. We claim paternity of any Corvette Crossed-Flags used as eyes in skull design!"
Frankly, I am sick of skulls. They bore the hell out of me.
I agree with you on the skull think, but then I look at Jake as an exclusive icon that represents and denotes Corvette Racing and their "Take No Prisoner" attitude.
All the other skulls out there have nothing to do with Jake. I also realize that if you (not meaning you in particular) don't follow Corvette Racing you would not know what Jake is and what it stands for, but for those racing gear heads out there do know.

Why do we need anything? Corvette Racing is a "take no prisoners" operation without a skull too. It is just a bit cheezy and I don't see any other major teams with silly racing team logos.
My husband and I love Jake and love that he is the Corvette Racing mascot. Every year we attend Petit Le Mans and park in the Corvette Corral, I can tell you that most of the Corvettes have some form of Jake on them (including my Grand Sport). Female Jake fans like myself wear Jake-inspired jewelry. Clothing with Jake is worn by almost everyone in the Corral. He is well liked in real racing circles with people who own real Corvettes, not in forums that anyone with two fingers can post to.
We are looking forward to seeing the new Jake and welcome his upcoming arrival.
