Interesting the automatic and the standard come with launch control. Checking the Corvette brochure..when a feature is limited it is noted in the brochure. Plus one of the videos referred to it. New cars bring new things. It may also be the reason they did not go with 8 speed automatic. Launch control can shock the transmission.

Unless somethings radically changed for the C7 only the manual will have LC. In the 2010+ manual transmission cars the LC was enabled by holding the engine RPM at 4K and dropping the clutch and the computer would modulate engine rpm/torque to available traction. That mechanism is obviously incompatible with an auto. LC is not Traction Control...

No sh#t Sherlock. I guess I am testy today. Long before they had launch control on stick shift cars they had it on automatic drag cars. The ability to dial in the rpm of the launch has been done for many years in automatics. I think because you know how one type of launch control works, that is how it has to work for all transmissions. This is a lesson for you..try not to make assumptions. Check out your facts, then make your conclusion.

Excuse me, nowhere did I mention any other transmission than the one in a 2010 Corvette. Lesson for you, try not to be such a troll.

Your words. You can call me anything you want. I could care less. You can't change what you wrote. Lesson for you on the use of posting on the Internet. Try harder.
