Has the C7 changed anyones buying decision ?

I'm old enough to remember it, but unless my math is wrong, it looks like the buyback price for the stock is well underneath what the nation paid. I'm guessing that must have been a union slogan.

Didn't want to like the c7 but I do. I wanted my next sports car to have a dual clutch transmission which the c7 doesn't have. The c7 is so cool I'm having a hard time waiting for a dual clutch transmission

I had been toying with the idea of going from a 2 car household (C6 and 135i) to a single car if I liked the new "4 Series" BMW. The C7 changed that. If I can wait, I'll buy the third model year C7 and keep the 135i.

I came, I saw, I modified
Saw the C7 base, finalized my decision to mod my '10 Z06 3LZ which is now ready for pick-up at ECS. Specs are 625 h/p, 603 ft/lbs torque, emissions legal (no headers), 3050 lbs.
If and when an "L88" version shows up, may reconsider C7, until then - no.

That's why GM is spending 131 million dollars to retool Bowling Green; to build used Corvettes, instead of new ones.

Yes. I have a 2008 BMW 335 with every single mod except upgraded turbos. Dynoed in at 420 whp on 30/70 e85 mix.
I'm actually parting out my car on e90post to get the vette due to looks and performance albeit slower than my car. If it wasn't for the vette I would have traded in the car for the next M3.

You are the exact demographic target that GM is aiming at. One who only buys used. Might be good for the used car lot, but not so good for the new car showroom.

You never know, I might have to sell some stock for a special first NEW Corvette in my life!

No effect. I may own one (C7) in a few years, but not a 2014. First year of a new generation is likely to have some bugs. I might buy a used 2015+ eventually, but I don't like it enough to drop everything and join the stampede to be "the first kid on the block".
I'll continue to enjoy my C6's indefinitely.

The C7 has not changed my decision. There are a lot of nice cars in this price range. I will wait until a production car has been tested and meets my expectations. If it does not I will be purchasing something else.

YES, I want a C7...however, I'd prefer a performance model and those probably wont be available till '15 or '16. So with prices starting to plummet on the C6, I'm now considering a 427 or well optioned Z06.
I'm betting I won't be able to resist as the prices continue to drop.

The reveal only reinforced my decision to stick with the C6 for the foreseeable future. Not feeling the C7 at all,and I have been trying since the reveal. I do like some of the techno stuff but that's about it.

I wasn't planning on buying a C7 anyway...so no change in my decision. I do like it overall, but still waiting
for the final performance specs etc. (as is everyone else). Maybe I'll add a used C7 'vert to the stable in like
five yrs from now. Definitely keeping my ZR1...!

I'm liking most everything I'm seeing and hearing about the C7. Just waiting for the end of the year when the driving impressions come in from the magazines and CF members. If GM nails the handling, I'm in.

After seeing the Red one at the Chicago auto show today, I'd say its doubtfull I'll ever trade my C6 grand sport convertible for a c7, but maybe after I get to see the convertible version in Yellow I might be persuaded to change my mind.

Well, I was intending to do a little refreshing on my '96 this year then see about trading up to a C6 if the market responded correctly. But, after seeing the C7, I might have to hold out. I'm still going to work on the '96, but I may save a wait for the right deal on one of these when folks start trading out for the hi-po versions yet to come. We'll see.
