Chevrolet has already set precedent. I'm referring to the optional front headlights and grille on the the mid '70's to late 80's full size K-5 Blazers. The base model had dual head lights and quad head lights were offered in an optional package. Since most of us like the new C7 engineering, minus the controversial tail lights, why not offer the "Classic" tail lights as an optional package? Chevrolet would be cashing in with either design. I'm thinking the "new" design would be RPO code 6AY, and the "Classic" RPO code 5EX. Any comments?
Not gonna happen. Chevy wants a styling continuance through its model line from top to bottom. Money is better spent on developing other parts of the car anyway.

Why do those that don't like the tail lights (or rear end) continue to make statements like this that are not backed up by the facts. There have been several polls here that say MOST like the C7 as it is. There is a minority that want to change the rear.
What you see are what you are going to get. You always have the choice not to purchase the C7. There are plenty of C6's for sale new & used.. if you desire the "classic" look.
Controversy over the new car's tail lights? Dang, first I've heard of anything like that. Surely if there were anything controversial we woulda seen it here by now.
I actually like the new taillights, i suspect all this chatter will die down when more people get to see them in person.
You are absolutely correct. I have a C6 and read the C6 section of the forum. Hasn't been a post in years about the non-hidden headlamps. Same will happen with the tail-lamps.

Not to mention the rave reviews from the Auto Shows.
Funny how that happens. The minority thinks they are the majority. I think round tail lights would look out of place on the C7. I like the new tail lights. Especially at night!

So true. I love the C6 headlamps and didn't miss the pop ups when i traded the C5 for a C6. I also love the round tail lights on the C6, very classy look imho. However I think the C7 will do fine and the round lights would NOT look good on the C7. The new tail lights design is BOLD to match the overall bold design of the C7.

Wouldn't it be the C5 people who would be complaining about C6 headlamps? If you're looking for those complaints, you may want to check the C5 forum...

One day you people will grow up and stop using "gay" as an insult.
