Lighten up. Light hearted fun never hurt anybody. Seems like any negativity on C7 forum closes a post. I don't remember any Z06 posts being closed down when people were ranting about valve train issues.

That'll give him time to work on his "real" cars.

No...I don't get people 'knocked off'. People get themselves knocked off.

Well - you're all sort of right - and wrong! Actually this is a beautiful salvage/resto mod done by Forum member Paulywannafly, who has a shop in NY State doing beautiful work. This car is the front half of a '67 and the back half of a '63 put together! I love the color too - Jeep Deep Water Blue. Ox should love it also! More info is available over in the C1/C2 Forum archives. I hang out in that Forum about half the time.

I do indeed like that car...I miss mags and side pipes. I especially like the LMB looking blue.

...they could lower it a bit tho.

Glad I have my C6, It looks like a Corvette from front to back, not a Corvaro.

Here's a couple more pics I retrieved showing the build. The front end and the frame were from a '67, the rear body from a '63, so it is a '67 split window! It was literally a "'67 split"................. :

It's a hodge podge of mixed years. It has flared rear fenders(that were not on a 63 or a 67) and has a 67 rear backup light(that the 63 didn't have). B pillar has been modified to resemble the 67.

The body mount locations were different between a 63 and a 67 so it can't have the back half of the frame from a 67 while having the front half of the frame from a 63. It's a shame that the rear body that he used wasn't used to restore a 63 that someone had cut the rear window center bar out of.

Try reading the post above with the build pics. You are wrong on several counts.

If people take offense to this, they shouldn't wear their feelings on their sleeves. Him saying that would not stop me from picking up a C6 if I truly loved that generation the most. Newer cars may make the older one obsolete from a technological standpoint but it does not take away from their greatness, but that's just me.

Though to be fair, I suppose F430 owners displayed similar reactions towards the new 458 Italia.
Well put.

If you like your C6s, wtf are people so panty-wadded about what Tadge said? So what if he said the car makes the C6 obsolete? For what it's worth the C7 should be an overall better car than the C6 right? Wasn't the C6 better than the C5 and so forth? I drove a C5 for years and was very happy with it and I knew it was an older model car, though many people that complimented me on the car thought it was new. I never cared, I bought a car that I LIKED. Nothing anyone could say could make me like my car any less. So why whine about it? He probably didn't even mean obsolete in a literal since. Sheesh.

Alex! Thanks for the laughs and your right.....

If the c7 didn't make the c6 obsolete it would have meant the entire project did not meet their expectations.

Opinions are subjective so for those like myself who own a c6...enjoy the fact the c7 is even better...

That's the evolution of life...

He'll it's the American way.

None of this makes driving my c6 z51 black beauty any less enjoyable...

If anything ...knowing the c7 is coming makes it even more fun driving my c6...

And when the tImemis right for me....I'll own one as well..

I'm dreaming of a torch red with black interior c7 z51 rev matching m7 with MRC, NPP and maybe even a competition seat!

Well if the C6 is outdated, it's a definite indication of the lack of engineering at GM. Just wait and see all the problems the C7 will have for a few years to come.

I think in the big picture a person of Tadge's power should not have made the statement that the C6 will be made obsolete especially taking into account all of the current unsold C6's as well as the fact that many Corvette loyalists helped make the C6 generation so successful, it is kind of a slap in their faces. By definition he is correct, the C6 will no longer be built and can be deemed "outdated", but so are the C2's and IMO to this day they are the best styled Corvette ever built! Remember when Ralph Gillies said something negative about Randy Probst, he got taken to the cleaners! Tadge insults (in a round about way) his own companies product and he gets a pass?

As for the C7, really what is so magnificent about it? Direct injection...no big deal, better fuel economy...who really cares, a new body design...a very personal preference item, a new interior...corian counter tops are not granite but they still look nice and do the job, a smaller footprint...this one I don't get, etc. etc. So by defintion the C6 is obsolete but give me a ZR1/ZO6/427 any day of the week over the new C7.

All of the threads I've read I can't remember one specifically targeting an area of the C6 (exterior) that was unattractive, the C7 by many opinions has many body flaws. My comments are simply m opinion, if anyone would like to debate that's fine but please keep it civil or keep it to yourself.
