After reading all these posts it's safe to say all of us have limited funds for the vette hobby. However IF I was rolling in it,I have to admit,I would pay 100 g's to get one a.s.a.p. (and so far I really don't even like it that much). You can call them stupid but that is what being wealthy allows you to do-buy anything at any time.

Exactly. It's all relative. I can think of many reasons for someone to pay a premium over sticker...given a set of circumstances. Extreme wealth, an unconstrained passion for Corvettes, or even a terminal illness.

None of those circumstances apply to me personally nor do I ever see myself paying over sticker. But I would never call another person stupid for making that choice.

Well, time to find a new dealer. I have talked to two in my area. While they are not ready to state a price until the order sheets are ready. Both told me sticker for a few months then some discounting.

100k is Viper and it would be no brainer, at least for me. What the dealer says and what the truth is tend to be opposite, especially considering there are dealers on this forum who already stated they will sell at or below MSRP.

This is car salesman BS. Plain and simple, they all lie to you, trying to make the sale "today".

The old, it wont be here for a year and a half, and when it does, it will be twice as much as the "obsolete C6" which we still have a sales lot full of.

Might as well buy one of these we have sitting on the lot................ I can smell the BS through the computer screen.

Ain;t nobody gonna buy a base C7 for that much.

Ask this SM to prove a customer signed up for $100k C7!! IMO, they are selling a line of BS! Why are you not calling the high volume Corvette dealers? I would not buy any car from this dealership!

Make the C7 (that they can't sell today) sound so expensive that the leftover C6 (that they can sell today) looks like an even bigger bargain.
