Default C7 ambient lighting?

I know GM has been big on adding ambient lighting on other products. Not sure if it has been discussed here yet. Will the C7 have ambient lighting in the interior?

The C6 had it in the passenger's sun visor clip from 2005 to (about) 2007, then it was discontinued. Who knows what will happen next...

Anyone have a pic of it at night? Would be interested to see.

I had read [don't remember where] that ambient lighting was one of the new additions of C7.

GM removed quite a few subtle standard items from the C6 as the model developed? The loss of these items held my car fever in check and I have not replaced my 2006 model. Now with the delay of acquiring a new C7 I should have traded for a 2009. My 2006 will be nine years old when I purchase the C7.

it's not listed on the existing guide. Hopefully a late add-in? Or standard across the board & not listed. It is awfully nice to have - even just the single red LED over the gearshift in my GTI is greatly appreciated. Cupholders & doors would be even better.

It's alright if you are in the city, but I sure don't want those types of visual distractions while on dark roads.

if you're distracted by the soft glow of an ambient cabin light while driving you have got bigger issues.

I have it in my 2008 CTS and it follows the dimming of the IP. I normally keep the gauges pretty dim when driving at night and at that setting the ambient lighting is just barely noticeable, at full brightness the passenger could see to tie her shoes but not to read unless the passenger is an owl or a cat GM did a very nice design/implementation of this in the CTS with a soft diffused glow in most areas and a small spot focused LED over the gear shift area. The CTS looks very nice inside both in the day and at night.

It is a nice aesthetic feature but probably won't show up in the C7.

My wife's CTS had it, it's pretty in pictures, but it annoyed me when driving at night and would not want it in my C7.

Thank you, Dr. Laura.

I'm driving, not sitting in a bordelo.

I had it in my 2008 C6 that was built in October 2007, they must have deleted the ambient lighting feature as a cost savings right after that.

I have the ambient lighting in my 2012 Infiniti M, it is a nice touch!

Maybe they are saving "cute" things for the later years...

My wife's Mini has fairly nice ambient lighting. Color choice and intensity.

If I recall correctly, my 92 C4 had ambient lighting as well. So it goes way back.

I've had it in a few cars... As long as you can dim the lights. I like it.
