C7 ambient lighting?

GM removed quite a few subtle standard items from the C6 as the model developed? The loss of these items held my car fever in check and I have not replaced my 2006 model. Now with the delay of acquiring a new C7 I should have traded for a 2009. My 2006 will be nine years old when I purchase the C7.

it's not listed on the existing guide. Hopefully a late add-in? Or standard across the board & not listed. It is awfully nice to have - even just the single red LED over the gearshift in my GTI is greatly appreciated. Cupholders & doors would be even better.

I have it in my 2008 CTS and it follows the dimming of the IP. I normally keep the gauges pretty dim when driving at night and at that setting the ambient lighting is just barely noticeable, at full brightness the passenger could see to tie her shoes but not to read unless the passenger is an owl or a cat 
GM did a very nice design/implementation of this in the CTS with a soft diffused glow in most areas and a small spot focused LED over the gear shift area. The CTS looks very nice inside both in the day and at night.
It is a nice aesthetic feature but probably won't show up in the C7.

My wife's CTS had it, it's pretty in pictures, but it annoyed me when driving at night and would not want it in my C7.

I had it in my 2008 C6 that was built in October 2007, they must have deleted the ambient lighting feature as a cost savings right after that.
I have the ambient lighting in my 2012 Infiniti M, it is a nice touch!
