Default Vette mag. C7 interview discrepencies

In the new June issue of "Vette", Kirk Bennion, exterior design manager states that that the dry sump oiling system is standard on all LT1 engines. At the Sebring Seminar, Harlan Charles says it is "available" on all models Z51, stick/auto, coupe/vert.
The "Vette" interview has Tadge Juechter saying that the rear fender-top vents are blocked off on the standard car and feed the trans and diff. coolers on the Z51 package. He seems to overlook that when discussing them at the Sebring Seminar.

I've noticed all of those also. In the sales guide only the Z51 option gets the dry sump etc. in both the coupe and vert. Of course they have to be dummy vents on non-Z51 cars, there's nothing for them to cool.

The other thing I noticed was the CG car touring - that has been shown driving around DC and the one in Geneva, doesn't have the black defuser like the red, blue and yellow cars do. I really like the body color vs. black IMO.

When you make a chart with all of the C7 "facts" and information released by the various engineers and design team members, you realize most of them know very little about the car. Lots of inconsistent statements considering they are nearing production.

Which, may or may not be on purpose. Kind of the Wizard of Oz thing. I truly believe they know a lot more than they are letting on. Disinformation can be a great tool when used properly. Look at Harlan Charles hair for example. He might be a frustrated Richard Simmons wana be ........................

In the Sebring seminar, Harlan Charles implied the Z51 or at least the dry sump would be a vert option.

No, they are needed. Because of the top mechanism it wasn't possible. So, to get cooling to diff and trans, they developed ducts underneath to capture the air. Just a different way to do it.
