Sounds like a guy and team pursuing performance objectives and rationally weighing engineering trade-offs.

Tadge's weight statement specifically speaks to the engine. Makes sense that added tech creates more engine weight. This added weight may also have a lot to do with added beefiness for future applications.

This is off point...however, I believe Tadge and his Corvette Team did an outstanding job with the new C7. They will NEVER make everyone happy. Thumbs up the Tadge and his Corvette Team and to the great working in Bowling Green who are making our dream Corvette.
