So I'm ready to put down my deposit on the C7 and take a beating on my C5. It has been stored all winter-which was convenient since my hip and lower back became very painful.
My question is does anyone know if the positions of the seats will be similar to the C5-meaning low and enough room to keep your left leg fully extended.
I am concerned that I will be buying a car without even sitting in it.
Thanks in advance.
Jeff
Pretty hard to tell since we don't know anything about your height, leg length or the C7 seat positions. The only way to really know is to sit in one yourself.

OK. I'm 6 feet tall. How does one sit in the car if I'm ordering it from Mike at Criswell in Baltimore and I'm in NY??? Just imagine buying a car and not being comfortable in it. I just had to trade my custome Grand Cherokee, all chromed with a hemi, since stretching to get in and out made my back problem worse.

You have to wait, I guess. I hear ya but it makes no sense (IMO) to order a car you've never even sat in, especially if I have a bad back and leg.

I know this is completely off topic, but have you seen an upper cervical chiropractor? my back and ankle pain went away after about a month of treatment. if you decide to see one make sure they are members of NUCCA.
I have not seen the C7, much less sat in one. However, if I had to guess by just looking at it, the C7 cockpit looks like it night be a bit tighter all around than say a C6 or your C5. I could be way off base but it looks that way to me. I much prefer the C7 interior over any interior corvettes have ever had, but I suspect it may be a bit more snug...not C4 snug, but less comfortable than your C5.
I would absolutely sit in one before laying down a deposit...especially if you had to sell an SUV due to your issues.
I don't remember there being a significant difference between my C5 and C6. I expect the C7 will be pretty much the same - but that is just a guess.
IMO there was. The C6 sits a bit different and easier to get in and out of

You have two large Corvette dealers(#1 & #2 in sales) in your neck of the woods. They will be among the very first dealers to have the new C7. After the C7's start rolling off the production line, contact one of those two dealers.
When the C5 was released, I sat in one long before the dealer had one on display on his showroom floor. I went over the car very carefully(and sat in it) while it was in the service department getting the PDI. No test drive, LOL. He was getting some early production cars in that were long before presold. They were going from the transporter to the PDI and then direct to the waiting customer. It was several months before he had an unsold one that went to the showroom floor for the general public to see.
When the C6 was first released, our local dealer invited our club to do test drives of a brand new C6. We had some 75 or so members(couples, for the most part) lined up, on a Saturday morning, waiting for their turn to actually get in a new C6, that had just recently been released by GM.
Very good marketing by a Chevrolet dealer. Hold a mass test driving event with plenty of food and drinks for the hungry masses.
Maybe so, but that was probably offset by my increasing age so it didn't seem any different to me.
Awwww, your as young as you think. I had to have 2 hip replacements when I got the C6s so I did notice it was easier to get in and out of. I would imagine the C7 is even more of an improvement but OP really should check it out if it is a concern.
I can't wait to see and drive the C7. I will not consider ordering until have a test drive. I expect next summer or the following spring to acquire one. I the mean time I'm putting miles on my C6.
