Default Suede Insert Cost?

Any one have a good guess on what this option will cost? It looks like I will have to order before prices are available and I'm kinda torn on this option.

Suede on seats. Its would have to be a new material. Years ago Buick had that
option in its Riviera's. Saw some on the used lots later. Didn't look that good

My guess would be about $500. Suede inserts on the C6 were recently in the 2012 Heritage package and probably represented around $4-500 of that option's price.

It's on more than the seats, doors, armrests, console and part of dash. I think its a micro suede (man made material). No price yet.

this is a pic I took a NY Show

Whatever it costs it was on some of the 2013 interiors. I will stick to the all leather for mine ...

The seat insert option is separate from the the other dash options, so you can get the seat inserts alone.

I don't see why you would have to order the options before the price guide comes out. Pricing is expected to hit dealers next Monday, first orders will not be accepted until a few days after that, even more depending on allocation. There are plenty of new options with the C7 that we don't really have previous experience with to determine the cost.

The Z51 package is much more than the old Z51, not as much as a GS maybe?
The Clearcoated roof panel is an unknown
Cabon Flash painted spoiler and mirrors is new
Carbon fiber dash inserts vs. what? Aluminum?
Custom Suede-wrapped upper interior trim is an option for 3LT that has never been offered seperately.
Competition sport seats (late availability) are new, and anyones guess for price.

We should have all of the answers Monday when the order guide comes out.

Order guide comes out Monday (True). Pricing WILL NOT be known at that time. Look for pricing late April/May or possibly summer.

Probably Alcantera in high wear areas at least. Never had it in a car, but have had real suede on furniture and it shows wear rather quick.

We had suede in a corporate aircraft I flew back a few years. A maintenance nightmare. Where do you think suede brushes first were used. Maybe the material is something synthetic and doesn't compress and look like, you know. Another reason not to be first.

Why is everyone in such a hurry to place an order? Prices unknown? No one cares if you have the first C7 in the area, state or country. If you really think about it no one cares, period. You spend extra money and get a few extra complements, maybe. In a month or two you will be just one of thousands with a C7 and paid a premium.

To some, those comments from others make the premium worth it.

I have alcantara DSV steering wheel for over 25 k miles and it looks beautiful.

I would suggest if the purchase price is only 500 over the 3LT which it sounds like your getting anyway...

Go for the alcantara or suede option...it's absolutely stunning at the NY show.

Made the interior pop beyond the traditional 3lt of the coupe. You ll be glad you ordered it.

So those with deposits down now will be placing their orders before the pricing is known?

I have Alcantara seat inserts in my 2012. After 20 months and almost 8,000 miles it looks brand new. Other than vacuuming, I've never cleaned the seats. Alcantara wears like steel.

Will look great when new. I am not sure about keeping it clean.

That's kinda my worry about the wear. I hate not to get it and regret it, but I don't want it to wear out either.

David, I would strongly suggest if you like the alcantara then enjoy the option....

The wear will be as good as leather. IMO

The seats do look good. Its the black plastic that kinda distracts from it. A Biege or
light brown ??? over Black plastic. Is that grey carpeting in back
