"Suggested" retail prices from the manufacturer won't mean very much after the 1st year. The market will determine pricing beyond the initial rush period. It has been this way for decades and will be no surprise what so ever when it soon occurs. Anyone doubting this need only look at C6 pricing for the last 6 or 7 years. 10-15 thousand dollar discounts were readily available. C7 pricing will be no different after an initial period where the retailers have some degree of price control.

 

Actually it's a 12:30 release, and since it's 12:30 the price is.....

$51,000 plus $995 destination.

 

I know the the "Price is Right".... Well I hope it is...I would hate to send my wife out to get a job.

... Although that information really doesn't mean much until we know the pricing of the 2LT, 3LT, Z51 trims/packages, etc, heh. Maybe that's how they'll get us.

2014 Corvette Stingray Starts at $51,995

DETROIT –The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe will have a suggested starting retail price of $51,995, and the Corvette Stingray Convertible will start at $56,995. Both prices include a $995 destination fee, but exclude tax, title, and license.

"The Corvette Stingray delivers a combination of performance, design and technology that very few manufacturers can match, and none can even come close for $52,000."

Standard features on the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray include:
-Seating with lightweight magnesium frames for exceptional support, and 8-way power adjustment
-Five-position Drive Mode Selector that tailors up to 12 vehicle attributes
-New seven-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching
-6.2L LT1 V-8 engine with direct injection, Active Fuel Management, continuously variable valve timing and an advanced combustion system
-Carbon fiber hood on all models, and a carbon fiber removable roof panel on coupes

Any Canadian pricing announcement?

 

That is a good and fair starting price for a base C7 with little options. And for all the forum members that was panicking about a $70K MSRP price..you all jumped to conclusion before the facts were reveal. Yes, a C7 will cost up to $70K MSRP provided it comes with full options. But of course we all know dealers will be selling it higher than $52K. And there will be people out there that will buy the base somewhere in the mid $60K when it arrives in the fall.

 

I think I am going to hold off and wait for the bugs on the c7 to be worked out before i buy one
