Well, your out of luck, because beginning with 2014, all cars in the US are mandated to have backup cameras, so get used to it.....upon review at the moment....
Why would some one not want the camera. At most it would add 1lb to the car, but I doubt that. They are super handy to have if you are trying to back into a parking space and you want to see just how much room you have before you hit whats behind you.

If people are worried about adding 8 oz or 1 pound to a 3300 pound car, your not thinking straight.
In these forums, everyone is obsessed with weight (for tracking), well, buy a real race car and you won't have to worry about stuff like a pound or two. Yes, you can track a Vette, but it's not a true race car. It's a mass produced sports car. Big difference....

More **** to break, this thing has enough bell and whistles to keep you're service department busy for years!
I don't remember this being discussed but a "vehicle performance recorder" camera is an option on the C7 (according to the Canadian order guide). I wonder if it simply provides video or if it also ties in performance stats, lap times, etc?
