Default ordered C7 last week

Hi all! my name is Bill and I am addicted to the new C7! I just ordered my Z51 3LT in Crystal Red with chrome rims with Brownstone interior and visible carbon fiber roof and dash. It sounds like delivery will be the end of July at the earliest and I am going to go nuts waiting! Did I mention this will l be my first Vette.....

Congratulations!

Don't get too confident that you'll see it in July though, it will more likely be late August/early September from everything we're hearing on here though.

What dealer did you use, what number are you on their list and what was their initial allocation? Those will determine when you might see your new car.

Welcome to the forum and remember to save the wave !

Congrats on your first vette.

The wait will seem like forever, but it will be worth it when it arrives.

Bill. I ordered a new Stingray in January. From a dealer with a very big allotment. My expectation is October. There are about 900 dealers who get at least one car. The demand for this model is amazing. I tell you this so you do not get disappointed. In my opinion you need a more realistic goal.

the dealer is in Billings Montana, they had 3 allotted, and I was the first to place the order with them. they told me 2 to 3 months for delivery.....we'll see. I hope to have some time with it before winter sets in and I have to spend the next 6 months drooling over it in the garage.

Default Concerned ....

I have a pre-order number in the top 30 at one of the top 5 Corvette dealers in this forum but I have to call versus them calling me. I would have thought they would have at least asked me what my configuration is by now ..... Should I be concerned?

No you have to wait for an allotment slot...there are very few new C7's in the system. I have a slot in the teens with a big dealer. I am not concerned one bit.

Very neat to see this many first time Vette buyers on the boards. Posts like this one and comments I'm hearing from friends who are fans of other marques (Porsche and BMW) tell me GM has done its job with the C7. I've got die-hard BMW nuts telling me the C7 is the first American car they've been truly interested in in decades.

Very cool...maybe the secret was not making it look TOO much like a Corvette...

I think that is correct. I never liked the looks of the c4 or c5. the c6 is a much better looking vette IMO but still never made my blood boil like the c7 does.

That's is very cool. My girlfriend had a 2006 Velocity Yellow convertible that she got rid of last year. I miss driving it very much. I too am thinking about ordering very soon an X51. Just cannot decide on the crystal red or a cyber gray. Either looks fantastic. Good luck on your order.

I, too, am new to this Forum and Corvettes. I placed deposit on May 27 and can see my order number at the first stage in the tracking system (order placed). I am 8 of 10 allocated at my dealership. According to what I have read, I set an optimistic date of October 15. My dealer said September but I don't think that is realistic from what I have read here. Regardless, by October 15 if the car is not here then it at least will be closer than June 10 :-). I have Z51 CGM with 3LT Kalahari interior, MSRC, 7-speed manual with NPP. I waived on the NPP after reading posts but stayed with it. Thanks to all for helping with the options, etc on this forum. First Corvette that I have owned and I don't think I have even ridden in one.

Since this first allocation the dealers received is for the first 6-9 months of production, that would make it likely that your build would be in November/December (80% of 6 months) or as late as February/March (80% of 9 months).

Bill:

As of today I don't think any production car has reached status code 3300 where a Target Production Week has been assigned, it should be soon but at present no one can say when their car will be produced, then remember it could be 1 to 3 weeks after that to arrive at your dealer.

If someone has Factual information please chime in.

PS: If you do not go nuts before its arrival, you will be elated by the experience and the car. I just sold my Crystal Red Z06 and that is a excellent color combo you chose.
