Next consensus for the Corvette is not until July.

Is that a for sure; one of the high-volume dealers noted next consensus period begins on 6/6.

General consensus for Chevrolet overall is 6/6, but there is no consensus for Corvette in June. Next one is July 4 ***for sure***

I will say there is a weekly order cycle that begins on 6/6 for last of the cars from the May consensus. Two different things.

Thanks for your input. I placed an order on 5/3 with a dealer that has 4 allotments, my order was number 3. The first order was accepted by GM on the most recent consensus. If there are no QC holds or constraints on my order, what is your best guess as to when I may receive delivery?

If your dealer only has 4 allocations for the first 6-9 months, then that's around 2 months for each allocation. If you are #3, then I would guess around a December or January build and delivery some two to three weeks after that.

You could get on Kebeck's list tomorrow at, say, #100(out of 507) and probably expect delivery in October.

Can someone explain exactly what "consensus" means and how it impacts the build process?

I do not know what the official words are, but it means that GM has allowed the dealer to place an order for X amount of cars. And, the dealer then submits X amount of orders. Once GM agrees to the orders submitted by the dealer, they have consensus as to what will be built.
