My Convertable order # RGJQQG , (Tommy Jr) ... " Queued for production , " Last Tuesday " Im thinking / for Dec first ......my thoughts as the factory now up to speed & ur C7 will be moving along ..................
Yesterday, I had a long conversation with my direct contact at GM and with my sales person (Jason Foshea) at Classic. In summary, my vehicle is produced, has been through quality control and inspections and... as of yesterday... bayed 4D00 (4 "D" 00 not 4000). Bayed could be that it's on a carrier or waiting to be put on a carrier. Here's the part that has me concerned. Per both contacts, my vehicle could arrive before the invoice. Obviously, they can't sell me the vehicle until I have an invoice to pay from. GM could delay in providing the invoices to the dealerships, even though they're shipping. In summary, GM has made progress in getting the C7 produced, through QT and inspections and bayed. Once your vehicle has taken the steps mine has thus far, the next option on the GM Order Tracking site "shipped/en route" because that's the next step. Those of you who have "shipped/en route" appearing probably does mean you're in the stage I'm in. I hope this is helpful as I spent hours trying to understand this position yesterday. My only hope is the invoice makes it to the dealership before my C7, because I'm going to be camping out when it arrives in order to drive it home to its CRIB!!!! (fyi... I'm going to post this in a few other areas to get the info out there).
Okay, my dealer has 20 vets allocated to them. 6 are convertibles in which I ordered and am #4 out of 6. I have an order number RGMWJD and am told I am at 11.. In the ordering process. Is my order waiting for GM to notify my dealer that they will now use their 4th allocated convertible in the allocation process. If a dealer has allocations available, why wouldn't GM accept all orders sold/placed with the dealership at the time the order is entered by the dealer since they have the allocation on the books for the order?
This may have been answered before but I can't find anything.
Thanks. A little confusing with consensus of the allocation. Seems easier if you have an allocation the order could at least be acknowledged even if a scheduled build date is not available, but then they didn't call and ask me how to organize it.
