Side Airbags?

Does anybody know if the C7 have side Airbags?

Yes, located in the "pod" that sticks out on the side of the seat (obviously the side closest the window), as per below picture.

It was discussed at The Bash that the seat would have to be a lot bulkier if they integrated the side airbags. It was decided to use the pod system and keep the seatback much trimmer. I think there will be aftermarket seats that develop attachment points, so you can use a C7 airbag. Even the competition seat looks like it weighs 40 or more pounds. Power adjusters, heavy steel mounting hardware, and air pumps will all add up. I know Chevrolet talks about the use of magnesium in the frame, but then they hang a bunch of other crap on the seat. I've convinced myself to go aftermarket, rather than buy the competition seat from GM.
