Does anyone know if the optional exhaust is stainless steel? I have noticed some rust coloration on some videos.
I'm sorry, but I have to call B.S. on this. In the name of due diligence, I looked at a number of pics posted in here. The fact is this, in order to see what you claimed to see, you would have to get down on the ground, with a flashlight to see where the tips are attached to the muffler. Perhaps you can dig up the vid you saw, because I can't find it.
I found it. I was off on a few details - like the white pants are actually tan shorts but oh well.
The time in the video when whoever is filming it gets down to show the exhaust is 36 seconds in. Ignore the tips and look behind them, there's some sort of discoloration where they connect.
My guess is that it looks like a weld bead has rusted. Maybe the used a regular steel weld instead of stainless weld for these first samples.
I don't think it is weld...maybe exhaust heat is discoloring it, the stainless exhaust on my KTM 990 SMT, is slowly changing to a dull copper color due to the effects of the heat.

My first thought as well. Though it's also not a big stretch to think they went with a cheap weld, knowing the car will be going to the crusher in a couple of months.
